Shift to Green Cleaning Products and Live a Healthier Life

Green Cleaning Company

There is no doubt that those cleaning products we see everywhere are very effective in getting rid of the most persistent dirt and grime in our homes. But if you read the back labels on these products, you’ll find it hard to pronounce most of it. And you know what the experts say about these – they’re possibly toxic to humans.

So if you can, please don’t buy these. Now, don’t worry that you would not have any way to clean your home anymore. You just need to shift to better, more environmental-friendly and completely non-toxic cleaning agents.

DIY Cleaners

One of the advantages of these green cleaners is that they’re possibly in your home now. That means you need not go out there and buy it. We’ve got some of the most effective ones listed below:

  • White vinegar – exactly the one you use for cooking
  • Baking soda
  • Olive oil
  • Borax – you’ll find this in the laundry aisle
  • Liquid soap – for dish washing, preferably
  • Newspapers

You really don’t need the following but a lot of people still get these because it adds that amazing fragrance (no more caustic Clorox scent) and makes the whole cleaning and drying process easier.

  • Essential oils
  • Microfiber cloths

Recipe for the Solutions

There are numerous solutions which you could make from these kitchen products. You could make your own, based on the basic ones we have listed:

  • Glass cleaners require a quarter cup of vinegar in a quart of water. Spritz that on the glass and clean it off with newspaper.
  • Disinfectants need borax (2 tbsp.), vinegar (4 tbsp.) water (3 cups), and dish washing soap (1/4 tsp.). You could put it on a damp cloth or in a spritzer.
  • Toilet bowl cleaners require just baking soda. If you want to disinfect it, use borax.
  • Mold and mildew can be removed by just vinegar.
  • Wood furniture can be cleaned using equal parts of lemon juice and olive oil. Apply it straight on the wood and wipe it.
  • If you are not a fan of the smell of vinegar and borax, pour a small amount of essential oil (your favorite scent) on a cotton ball and put it in the corner of the room. Take note that some oils may be irritating to the skin so make sure that you tell your kids to steer clear from it.

All Natural, Organic Products

All those, as you have read above, are so easy to prepare. If you have time in the evening after preparing dinner and cleaning up in the kitchen, try mixing those great recipes.

But if you think you don’t have time to do so, there are commercial cleaning products which are made of all-natural, organic ingredients – practically the same as those we have mentioned above.

While some companies manufacturing these sell their wares in your local department stores, most do so online. But it’s very easy to find these on the internet.

Aside from doing these, share away! It would be great if all of us start working on this.
